Testwood Lakes Sailability (TLS) is a volunteer run charity that provides dinghy sailing for people with any disability.
We continue to seek Safety Boat Skippers. During normal operations the Safety Boat will be manned at all times by a qualified helm accompanied by an able bodied crew. Everyone on site must always be aware of what is happening on the lake in case of incidents that require the Safety Boat.
Main duties include:
- At the start of the session test the safety boat to ensure that it is operational.
- Launch the safety boat.
- Put out buoys for the sailing course to be used that day.
- At the end of the session return the Safety Boat to the Boat House.
Safety Boat Skipper will have the required RYA qualifications. The crew will receive training.
