Chair of Trustees

Help shape the future of cancer support across Wessex.

Wessex Cancer Support is seeking an inspiring and committed individual to become our next Chair of Trustees.

Our current Chair is nearing the end of her term, and as part of our planned succession we are now seeking to appoint a Trustee who will step into the role of Chair of Trustees following a structured and supportive transition.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees, you will provide strategic leadership, ensure effective governance and help guide the charity through its next chapter.

Skills

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has senior leadership, executive, trustee or board-level experience
  • Can think strategically and build strong relationships
  • Is passionate about making a difference to people affected by cancer
  • Will act as an ambassador for the charity and its values

Previous Chair experience is welcome but not essential.

The role requires approximately 2-4 days per month, including Board meetings, regular contact with the Chief Executive and occasional attendance at charity events.

This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills and experience to support people affected by cancer across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.
