Volunteer Drivers

If you enjoy the great outdoors, whilst also helping to make people's lives easier, volunteer driver is the role for you.

Time commitment

Flexible, depending on people's needs. Shifts between 9am and 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday.

You will be involved in

• Picking up patients from home and driving them to and from the Francis Sheldon Centre - Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice (West End)
• Talking to patients and engaging with them to make sure they are comfortable and put at ease during their journey
• Being a friendly face and a listening ear

You will be

Skills

You would need to

• Have a clean driving licence
• Drive your own vehicle if appropriate
• Pass a driving assessment
• Be DBS checked which we will organise
• Enjoy meeting new people and being part of a team
• Understand confidentiality
