Become a Lunch Club Helper at our Romsey club

Why Clubs?

Why not spend your lunch time with our fun loving group of older people at their weekly club meeting.

Brendoncare aims to improve the quality of life for older people, and our growing local network of social/activity Clubs are vital to combating loneliness and social isolation. They enable our members to develop relationship networks and each Club aims to respond to the interests, needs, aspirations and choices of each individual.

All our Clubs are run by fantastic teams of Volunteers and we’re currently looking for more people to get involved in your local area.

Who are you?

Brendoncare Clubs are looking for happy, enthusiastic individuals, aged 16+ to help us deliver a fantastic service to the members of our clubs. Ideally, you will be a team player, looking to play an active part in ensuring everyone enjoys their lunch.

What is required?

We ask for help in ensuring the venue is safe and welcoming for our members; this will include setting the room up appropriately, helping any members with limited mobility, engaging with our members, food preparation, serving, clearing and washing up. No experience of food preparation/hygiene necessary as training will be given. Flexibility and good organisational skills would be useful.

We ask for two satisfactory references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

What are the benefits for you?

The Club Support role allows you expand and develop at your own pace. We provide you with an induction to your role, food hygiene and ongoing training, ongoing support and reimbursement of out of pocket/travel expenses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to give something back to the community and experience the positive impact your volunteering can have to help improve the lives of older people in your area.
