Minibus Escort

We are currently looking for someone to drive and/or escort on our minibus. 

Role Description:

To ensure the health, safety and comfort of our service users during their journey to and from their home to lunch clubs.

Specific duties:

• To supervise the safe transfer of service users.
• To ensure the users are comfortably and securely fastened in their seats, gangways are clear of obstructions and that the driver is not distracted during the journey.
• To provide assistance at the lunch club as required.
• To undertake appropriate training as required.
• To adhere to the policies and procedures of Age Concern New Forest.
• Person Specification:
• A liking and empathy with older people
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• A reasonable level of fitness
• An understanding of the need for confidentiality
• Good time keeping skills
• Trust and reliability

Hours of work - To be arranged and fit in with the lunch club usually 10.30am-2.30pm.

• Empathy for older people
• Good communication skills and understanding of safety issues
