Hampshire Libraries - Lymington

Come and join Hampshire Library staff at Lymington Library. You could get involved with our events and activities, assist members of the public that are using our services or help with the processing and maintenance of our library books and resources for loan. "I like the amount of variety you get as a library volunteer. Volunteering enables me to meet new people and to form new friendships in my local community.”

Skills

Every year the Summer Reading Challenge engages thousands of children, encouraging them to read over the long school holidays. You’ll get to work with children by encouraging them to enjoy reading and take part, as well as handing out medals and certificates to those who finish. "The Summer Reading Challenge is all about the children and it’s great to see the chuffed look on their faces as the weeks go on. Regardless of reading ability, I like encouraging all the children to just enjoy reading, that’s very rewarding. ”

Whether you enjoy reading and chatting to people, or want to help someone conquer their fears of using a computer, we have an opportunity for you.
