Winchester Bereavement Support is seeking a new Chair to lead its committee of ten members.
This important local charity continues to expand its essential service of bereavement support as well as promoting awareness of bereavement in the community.
The committee supports six professionally qualified volunteer Supervisors and the 40 strong team of trained Bereavement Visitors who give their time helping people come to terms with the loss of a loved one.
Skills
The role requires good communication skills and the confidence and interpersonal skills to engage with the volunteer team and with local businesses and the wider community.
If you have experience as a Chair or in a senior management position, have strong leadership skills, integrity, tact and diplomacy coupled with a willingness to devote time and energy to WBS we would like to hear from you.
As a voluntary position it is unpaid but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
