Opportunities with Bransgore Community First Responders

About

Community First Responders are part of South Central Ambulance Charity and are local unpaid volunteers, trained and despatched by the Ambulance Service to attend 999 medical emergency calls where a life may be at risk, and provide basic life support care until the arrival of the ambulance service response. We ask our volunteers to make themselves available to be on call for a minimum of 20 hours per month, at times that suit you, and until the call comes you carry on with your daily routine.

You must be of good character, over 18 with use of a car. After the initial 5 days training you will be supported by your colleagues. You will need to undertake a 6 monthly re-qualification paper and practical test. Every six months there is a compulsory training to refresh your skills. There is also opportunity CFRs to attend monthly refresher training on skills and treatment.
