Volunteer Social Media Officer

Overview

The purpose of this role is to consistently make informative and engaging social media content for Winchester Youth Counselling to help provide information about our services and young people’s mental health and help support our fundraising efforts throughout the year.

You will work independently but have regular contact with the management team and WYC ambassadors so that you are up to date with the latest events, plans and focus areas.

Role:

·       To raise awareness of the charity and its value to the community through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

·       To create engaging branded content.

·       To stay up to date with other local charities and organisations.

·       To ensure WYC is represented in an age-appropriate, but professional way.

Skills

Required

·        Excellent understanding of how to use each social media platform and its features.

·        Confident written communicator (and/or on live stream), willingness to spell and grammar-check all posts.

·        Ability to work using your own initiative.

·        Age 18 or over.

·        Access to laptop or tablet, and mobile phone.
