Do you have a few hours to spare on a weekly basis?
Do you want to support Older People in your local community?
If so, this is the role for you!
Our Volunteer Shopping Befrienders help improve the quality of life for older people who are socially isolated, unable to access the shops to purchase essential items and may also feel lonely.
MHA Communities New Forest offers support and friendship to older people living in their own homes; helping to maintain independent living, improve well-being and reduce isolation.
During this difficult time of Covid-19 our social groups and day trips have needed to be on hold. With many of our members without family nearby a friendly face dropping some essentials at the door (with social distancing) can really make their day.
