Volunteer Ranger (Bishop's Waltham)

The Central Countryside Sites Team are looking for volunteers to assist the Rangers in the management of our sites in Bishop's Waltham. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, to enhance your CV, to get active and to make new friends. No previous experience is necessary.

Tasks include traditional conservation techniques, such as coppicing, hedge laying and scrub management, as well as site maintenance, such as fencing, hanging gates and installing benches. Training can be given on site and all tools are provided as are refreshments.

Tasks are run fortnightly on a Tuesday through the Autumn and Winter and monthly the rest of the year. Tasks run from 10:30am until about 3pm.

Skills

Tasks vary throughout the year but can include:

• Path Maintenance
• Fencing
• Gate Hanging
