Citizens Advice Winchester District delivers free, independent advice to hundreds of local people every month and most of this advice is delivered by trained local volunteers.
We're currently looking for volunteers to join our Adviser Training Programme, starting September 2023 who are interested in delivering advice to people out in the community.
As an outreach adviser you'll attend a varied range of outreach sessions and events across the district, engaging with different groups of people to deliver one-to-one advice and generally raise awareness of our services.
We're holding an information afternoon on Tuesday 8 August 2023 between 2.30 - 4.00pm specifically about being an Outreach Volunteer Adviser. Please register your interest for more information.
Skills
You will need a friendly and outgoing manner, have a can-do attitude and be confident using basic IT skills.
Other than that, no prior experience is needed as full training will be provided.
You’ll need be able to volunteer at least one day a week (or two half days).
