Volunteer Fundraiser for the Havant Open Duke of Edinburgh Award Centre

Primary Fundraiser:

Our current principle fundraiser works in a front line role for the NHS and has for obvious reasons, had to step back from doing any work at all for us since March last year. We need someone to replace him as soon as possible.

This voluntary role will involve no more than an hour or so a week of your time on average (if that sometimes). Under normal circumstances, to keep the centre running, subsidise our costs (and therefore participant programmes) we need around £1200 per annum coming in to the centre.

Over the last five years we have raised raised an average of £1270 per annum. We regular receive annual grants for between £500 and £700 per annum leaving around £600 per year needing to be raised. We have regular donators and our current fundraiser will be able to devote some time to help someone coming into the role to get started.

Skills

The role would involve writing emails, making the odd telephone call and writing justification letters to evidence funds received (I would help with the latter).

The role is entirely voluntary although the centre would pay any reasonable expenses incurred.
