Help in Bereavement are a listening service supporting the bereaved in Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham and Havant Borough council areas.
We visit people in their own homes or a mutually agreed public place, usually for around an hour at a time.
It doesn't matter how long ago the loss occured, we help when asked for as long as needed.
To fulfill this role, you will be caring, empathic, non-judgemental, but no formal qualifications are required.
We have our own training scheme, usually over 6 Wednesday evenings starting in September.
We have team meetings approximately every 6 weeks and usually on a Tuesday evening.
You will arrange all your own appointments with clients, so visiting is very flexible so can be fitted around other commitments easily.
