Role requirements:
- Monthly reconciliation of bank statements to excel spreadsheet
- Update records of committed funds and forecast (all spreadsheet based)
- Receive and pay invoices (approx 10-15 per year)
- Pay in any funds collected from fundraising events
- Present status update on account at committee meeting
- Attend a few meetings per year
- Maintain records and checks on bank signatories
- Annual completion of Gift Aid claim (all online)
- Annual completion of Charities Commission submission (all online)
- Annual submission of accounts to independent auditor
- Must be joint signatory on Natwest Bank account and be willing to receive hard copy statements
- Willing to move account to online
Skills
- Be capable of handling figures and cash;
- Have an orderly mind and methodical way of thinking;
- Have experience in dealing with money and budgets;
- Have experience of financial control and budgeting;
- Have an eye for detail;
- Be available to be contacted for ad hoc advice;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to ensure decisions are taken and followed-up; and
- Show good time-keeping.
