Start off the new year with a challenge: Volunteers needed

Avon Valley Dementia supports people with dementia and their carers through a difficult time, to ensure they receive respect, care and normality and to realise that there is life after a diagnosis of dementia.

We are actively seeking a Minutes Secretary to take minutes at our meetings - up to 6 a year. Other tasks include circulating agendas and minutes of meetings to members. Should the individual want to become more involved in other aspects of the work they would be made more than welcome.

Skills

Someone who is caring, a good communicator and has excellent organisation skills.

Expenses are paid and there are no other restrictions. The role will be developed. Training in understanding dementia and other skills, as appropriate, will be given.

This is a most interesting and rewarding position for someone who can give just a few hours per year supporting some of the nicest people you would care to meet.
