SSAFA Caseworker

Referrals to our service come from a variety of sources and often the clients themselves. The case workers role is to visit the clients at home, make an assessment of their needs, including a financial assessment and then enter that information into the Military Charity on line Application system CMS. Monitor the responses and then once support is found close the case. A three day Training Course is essential before this role can be carried out.

Skills

Good interpersonal skills, listening and talking to all age groups and their families. IT skills and a familiarity with using on-line systems. Ability to write concise reports to support applications for assistance. Car driver essential.

Availability Details

Caseworkers are approached as and when cases present themselves to the Division. Hence there is no set time to do this work. However, visits are expected to be carried out at a time acceptable to the client.

This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
