Job Coach

Many Ukrainians are keen to find work and, as their English improves, to continue their careers by finding skilled employment locally. However, they lack knowledge of UK systems, contacts and, in many cases, confidence.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion and dedication to make a positive difference to the lives of Ukrainian job seekers, helping them find meaningful employment and building their self-esteem and confidence.

You will attend the job workshops in Lymington (5th and 6th September 2022) and assist in CV development and interview practice breakout groups.

After the workshop, you will deliver occasional face-to-face coaching sessions on a one-to-one basis in the New Forest area and support via email/zoom as a mentor to support Ukrainian job seekers:

  • Work with the job-seeker to Identify specific roles they wish to apply for from a variety of sources.
  • Assist with applications and covering letters for specific roles.
  • Further interview practice and preparation.
  • Building job-seekers confidence and agency.

There is flexibility in the coaching sessions with the mentor and job seeker jointly agreeing their timings and frequency.

Where job seekers have limited English, appropriate translation support would be available.

A basic DBS check is required – NFHU will cover the costs of this.
