The Co-ordinator's role will be:-
- to receive requests from people in need and then to phone round a list of volunteers to find a person to assist.
- to maintain a book of requests and accurate records of clients' details and volunteer availability.
You will be part of an active and supportive team whose whole aim is the wellbeing of the elderly.
The Co-ordinator will have the use of a contract mobile phone to be able to carry out their duties from home. This is paid for by Havant Good Neighbours.
They will be expected to attend the office in central Havant when meetings are held bi-monthly.
A good, sensitive telephone manner with friendly and humorous nature.
Being computer literate an advantage but not essential.
