Walk and Talk Volunteer

We are a charity for adults with a learning disability in Winchester and district.

We launched our walk and talk program in 2020 in response to the first lockdown. It has proved to be a successful and popular way to socially engage with our members and to provide exercise, fresh air and support. It also provides carers with restbite.

This is a fun and interesting opportunity based in Winchester.

We are looking for someone with empathy, with some understanding and preferably experience of the needs of people with a learning disability; good communication skills as well as a sense of fun! Flexibility would be an advantage.

We are ideally looking for someone who has experience in working with vulnerable people.

The ability to communicate effectively and to listen. We are looking for volunteers who like people and who are caring, sociable and interesting for our members to spend time with.
