The Horrill is a bright, welcoming, modern, purpose built Day Care Centre for both physically frail and E.M.I guests, including people with dementia. We provide lots of activities including tai chi, Nordic walking, quizzes, games, talks, arts and crafts, day-trips and social stimulation.
We aim to offer a welcoming, caring, interesting environment for all who access the centre and would love to hear from volunteers who can spend one to one time with people, chatting or just offering a listening ear. It can make all the difference to someone's day to sit and chat and have a little one to one time.
Skills
Talking to others, listening, patience and an enjoyment of social interaction.
