Would you like to make a difference by taking books/audio books to people in your local community?
Home Library Service Volunteers help by selecting books/audio books from their local library & visiting customers to exchange them. The service is for those who can't get to their local library to borrow books etc. due to mobility difficulties, ill health or caring responsibilities and who have nobody suitable to do it for them.
As a volunteer for the Home Library Service you can enhance somebody's life not only through the library materials that you take for them but also through your companionship and contact you give them with the outside world. Good friendships have developed out of this service and we hope that this will be your experience too.
We ask all our volunteers to commit to a minimum of one visit per month for at least 2 or up to 5 customers. The date and time of the visit will be agreed between the volunteer and the customer.
