'Havant Library of Things' Assistant

Havant Library of Things is a great community initiative that will help reduce waste and encourage reuse by providing items that are only used occasionally for people to borrow at a low cost.

This role is at our Library of Things hub at Havant Station. You will volunteer alongside another person and your role will include:

• Booking items in and out using our online system
• Advising the customer how to use the item
• Making the customer aware of any specific safety requirements when using the problem
• Providing a positive experience and a welcoming atmosphere for customers

If you are interested in this role we will arrange a time for you to meet us at the Havant Library of Things.

Skills

This is an ideal role for someone who loves to interact with people and can offer a regular time commitment of between 4 and 18 hours a month to staff the Library of things Hub.

You will be confident and willing, with training and support, to advise and show the Library of Things users how the items within the Library work.

You will be confident or willing to learn how to use a computer system to book items out to Library users.

You will share and support the goals of the Library of Things which is to cut waste and encourage sharing of resources.
