Front of House Volunteers at Hanger Farm Arts Centre, Totton

Hanger Farm Arts Centre is run by Minstead Trust charity and is a key Social Enterprise initiative. Not only does the centre host a variety of live performances including music, comedy and theatre, it also provides an exciting venue for conference events and weddings and, alongside all of this, offers invaluable work experience opportunities for the people we support - vulnerable adults with learning disabilities.

Role Description: We are always looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to be part of our Front of House Team, especially during performance nights. This role may include welcoming visitors to the centre, collecting tickets, showing them to their seats or working behind the bar.

Hanger Farm boasts a hugely vibrant and welcoming atmosphere and volunteers may also watch the performances.

Availability: Volunteer help is usually required from 6pm onwards during performance evenings and most notably on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. However, weekdays or weekends, daytime or evenings, we usually have something exciting going on that you can get involved with so this role really can be as flexible as you need it to be!

Skills

Who are we looking for? Friendly, cheerful and dynamic, this Front of House role requires someone who really enjoys engaging with the general public, meeting new people and has strong communication and interpersonal skills. A great team player, this role would ideally suit someone who is enthusiastic and reliable.

No previous experience is necessary as we will ensure you are given all the support and training required to carry out your role safely and enjoyably, and to make sure your volunteering experience is always a positive one!
