Key information
We're on the look out for Volunteer Shoppers in the New Forest (especially the Ringwood, Brockenhurst and Lymington areas) to help local people who are unable to get to the shops under present circumstances. Volunteering will normally be for just a few hours, generally on a day between Monday to Friday. The number of hours or days you volunteer for is completely your choice.
The role itself
Volunteer Shoppers have the important task of doing the shopping for our clients across the New Forest. Generally, you will be given a shopping list to take to the requested (or nearest supermarket), shop for the specified items and make sensible decisions when alternatives need be found.
Payment can either be made using a prepaid store card or voucher or, if you are happy to pay for the shopping, we will reimburse you directly to your account usually with a couple of hours.
Finally, the shopping is dropped off to the client and handed over on the doorstep observing safe social distancing.
