Becoming a telephone befriender for Community First can help tackle isolation and loneliness during the Covid-19 pandemic especially for housebound people and those who are self-isolating.
Telephone befriending volunteers phone the person (client) to check-in and chat on a regularly weekly basis to provide emotional and social support to an individual/s who are feeling isolated due to the Coronavirus.

A key contact you can ring if you need any help or have any queries.
We are looking for people with the following

Flexible to meet your requirements. Working from home. Ideally volunteers will call the person/s once a week for approximately 30 minutes to be agreed by both parties.
