Currently there is an opportunity to join Portchester Voluntary Care Group as a Coordinator. The group offers the local community medical appointment transport, befriending and shopping and is an essential service in the Waterlooville area.
The Good Neighbours Network supports over 120 independent voluntary groups across Hampshire and Portchester Voluntary Care Group is one of them. You as group Coordinator would have ongoing support from the group and the Network on best practice with access to invaluable resources and advice.
Some admin experience would be desirable and the group and the Network can help with induction and training.
The role involves receiving requests from people who would like help from the group and then to match this person with an available and appropriate volunteer. Also to maintain accurate records on client and volunteer details and volunteer availability. You will have a contract mobile phone to enable you to undertake the role from home. Expenses are reimbursed by the group.
You will become part of an active and supportive team whose aim is the wellbeing of elderly people. You would be an integral part of a rewarding and worthwhile enterprise.
If you would like to join the Portchester team and help people by offering some of your time then register your interest today.
There are also opportunities to join Good Neighbours teams across Hampshire.
