Collecting box co-ordinator

Needed in Bognor, Petworth, Havant, Emsworth, Portsmouth area.

Overall Aims –

To support the Fundraising Department by exchanging ‘empty’ and collecting ‘full’ collection boxes from local sites, shops, pubs and offices. To positively represent the work of the Charity within the local communities. 

Tasks/responsibilities:

Collect ‘Full’ collecting boxes from local sites.

Replace with ‘Empty’ boxes.

Pro-actively find new sites for collecting boxes.

Skills

Skills/Qualities required: 

§  Good communication skills, with both staff, volunteers and members of the public 

§  Ability to use the telephone to contact collection box sites, arranging for collections. 

§  Manage a paper receipt system when collecting boxes from sites

§  Ability to drive own car

§  Wearing of Identification badge

§  Knowledge and sensitivity to the cause  

§  Reliability    

§  Good attention to detail

§  Handling money and awareness of own safety whilst completing the task. 

§  Ability to manage full collecting boxes, which can get heavy
