Our Oxfam charity Book & Music shop in Hythe is reopening on the 12th of April and we are looking for volunteers to help us to keep the shop open and run it smoothly.
Oxfam is a global movement which fights to end poverty, inequality, campaigns on women's rights, climate change, fair wage for UK carers. This is important because many people do not know that we work into the UK too.
If you have some spare time to give out, come and volunteer in our shop. Additionally, volunteering improves mental health: the wellbeing feeling of helping other is important in these tough times.
We need support with the customer service (greeting, serving the till, accepting donations), sorting, valuing goods, making replenishment, organising and recycling.
We can be very flexible around parenting / caring / health / employment / education and any other commitments you have. Some travel and lunch expenses can be covered too
