'Be Creative' and volunteer with learning disabled adults (Drama)

Coda Music Centre, in partnership with the Forest Forge Theatre Company, are helping learning disabled adults 'Be Creative'!

Funded through HCC’s Get Going Again Programme seeking to support those clinically vulnerable to Covid-19 back into activities in their community.

This is a truly rewarding volunteer role, where you will support the drama facilitator and engage with adults who have various learning disabilities, encouraging them to have fun expressing themselves through different drama activities.

As part of this role, you will also help the drama facilitator to set up and clear away activities, provide refreshments for participants, ensure evaluation forms have been completed and that the session has been paid for.

All necessary training will be provided.

‘Be Creative’ drama sessions are held every Thursday from 2pm - 4pm at the Forest Forge Theatre Company, Ringwood (New Forest).

Skills

• Interest in working within a creative/educational or learning disabilities support setting.
• Excellent people skills - empathy and compassion.
• Trustworthy and able to respect confidential information.
• Good timekeeping and reliability.
• Can provide own transport.
