Coda Music Centre, in partnership with hArt, are helping learning disabled adults to be creative through art!
Funded through HCC’s Get Going Again Programme seeking to support those clinically vulnerable to Covid-19 back into activities in their community.
This is a truly rewarding volunteer role, where you will support the art facilitator and engage with adults who have various learning disabilities, encouraging them to have fun expressing themselves through art.
As part of this role, you will also help the art facilitator to set up and clear away activities, provide refreshments for participants, ensure evaluation forms have been completed and that the session has been paid for.
All necessary training will be provided.
‘Be Creative’ Art sessions are held every Wednesday from 10am – 12pm at Forest Arts Centre, New Milton (New Forest).
- Interest in working within a creative/educational or learning disabilities support setting.
- Excellent people skills - empathy and compassion.
- Trustworthy and able to respect confidential information.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
- Can provide own transport.
