Assistant to the Instructor as Pony Leader or Rider Helper

To help riders enjoy the challenge of learning to ride a pony by being a leader or side-walker and assisting the instructors with the ponies and their care.

Riding Sessions are Monday, Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Ponies need care 7 days a week.

Volunteers will gain confidence and improve their ability to communicate, gain skills with ponies and enjoy the sessions.

An Interest in animals and caring would be an advantage.


Applicants should be fit and it is helpful to have some knowledge of ponies and people with disabilities.

References will be required and a regular commitment to the weekly lessons. Volunteers will be trained for the work that is required with the ponies and riders.
