We are looking for volunteers to bring a range of skills to this exciting young charity.
Tower House Horses has been working in and for the community since 2012 initially as a CIC and since January 2019 as a CIO. We are based at Micheldever Station, equidistant from Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester, serving beneficiaries throughout Hampshire.
We have worked with the mental health teams of Hampshire County Council, probation services, schools, Children & Adolescent Mental Health Service, GP surgeries and charities such as Trinity Winchester and The Footprints Project (mentoring for previous offenders). In recognition of our achievements in improving mental and emotional health we received the High Sheriff of Hampshire's Award for services to the community in 2018.
As part of our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion we are actively encouraging candidates local to our area from under-represented communities, individuals with lived experience of the issues we work on, and first time trustees who may not have considered themselves for this kind of role. We are looking for people from a diverse range of backgrounds, reflecting the geography and demographic make-up of the young people we support throughout Hampshire, and we encourage applications from potential trustees under 30 years of age.
If you are able to contribute your professional skills (e.g. marketing, social media, online and/or community fundraising, accountancy, law) to the valuable work of our charity and would also like to help us increase our diversity of representation on the Board, we would like to hear from you.
