About the opportunity

A volunteer role to support the local community to engage with groups or clubs held at Alton, to ensure that they can visit the home, have fun, enjoy meaningful moments of engagement and to make the most of opportunities that are offered to them within a social environment.

You may support with a weekly, or fortnightly club ran at Alton organised by a member of staff to begin with.  You may have good leadership skills which would enable you to facilitate the running of a group to ensure that members are offered new opportunities and can benefit from activities in the best possible way.

Volunteering with Brendoncare can be undertaken at any agreed time between a volunteer and the Home Manager or Activity Coordinator. We do ask volunteers to make a regular commitment so that the residents and staff have the opportunity to develop a relationship.
