Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium – Discover Volunteering

7 June 2017

Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium is looking to recruit a team of volunteers to help the charity spark curiosity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. To find out more about the opportunities available join us on either Saturday 24 June from 3pm – 5pm or Saturday 8 July from 10am – 12 noon.

If you can spare half-a-day on a regular basis we would love to hear from you. Volunteering is great way to make use of and develop existing skills, support your local community, meet new people and gain valuable experience. You don’t need to have a background in science to make a valuable contribution to the Centre, for example, volunteers could be asked to help in the exhibition area welcoming visitors and encouraging them to explore the exhibits or by supporting the administration team in marketing, finance and operations.

By attending a Discover Volunteering event you’ll be able to meet some of the team, find out about the charity and its aims and learn about the varied volunteer roles available.
