The Undateables hit screens for a sixth series this year featuring Fitzroy’s Love4Life project. This vital project helps people with learning disabilities and autism find lasting friendships and relationships. They are based in Fareham but hold events in Portsmouth, Southampton, Eastleigh and Waterlooville. The members regularly get together for fun events, and as a volunteer you can join in the fun! You could be supporting people at social events and chaperoning dates. Events include bowling trips, discos, meals out, quiz nights, theatre and cinema trips, games nights and more. Whether you have a couple of hours a week, a month or just occasionally to spare, they’d love to hear from you.
They will support and train you, and make sure you are confident volunteering with people with different disabilities. Many of their volunteers love it so much they have chosen a change of career and started working with people with disabilities.
Volunteers are now needed in other areas.
