Third Place – Val Bywater (Whitehill Village Hall)
Val has, through her diligence and dedication, made it possible to greatly improve the facilities at Whitehill Village Hall. Val obtained the essential funding, without which the projects would have failed. The improvements have greatly benefit the entire community. These include the general condition of the hall, the disabled access for the new toilets and mother and baby changing facilities. She also founded and runs the ‘Wednesday at Whitehill’ programme for the benefit of older people and those with limited opportunities.
