Simple Film Making Techniques Workshop designed for Charities/Voluntary organisations to put together a short film to promote their works.

Wednesday 5th October 2016 0930—1600 – £30 per person – St.Peter’s Church, Jewry Street, Winchester, SO23 8RY

Learn basic techniques to put together a simple but effective film. Contents includes: Telling your story in five pictures. Key messages—what do you want your film to say/do? Film Structure, setting up shots, interviews, shoot to keep editing to a minimum. Shooting your video. Learn new skills and basic editing techniques. Bring your own camera both video and still (camera phone will suffice) & a laptop.

The session is being facilitated by Jill Sainsbury, a prestigious film maker with many years experience working for the BBC, Jill now has her own business called Switched-On Media www.switchedon.tv

A Workshop for Charities and Voluntary Organisations wanting to improve their photographic skills

Wednesday 23rd November 2016 9.30—13.00 – £20 per person – The Warren Centre, Micheldever Station, Winchester, SO21 3AR

How to get your message across in photographs. Using available light to enhance your images. How set up situations to your advantage. Learn how to get more impact in your images. Ensuring your pictures reproduce well on social media. Bring your camera to participate.

This exciting workshop is part of the Skill Share Employee Volunteering Scheme in collaboration with Community First Training. Belinda Harvey specialises in photographing people in natural light on location. With over twenty years experience specialising of photographing people, Belinda holds numerous awards and qualifications. Harvey Studios (est. 1947) is in Chandlers Ford. This will be a very practical workshop, so bring your camera with you.

This is expected to be a very popular event so book early to avoid disappointment!
