Home-Start Hampshire’s Santa Run | Alton | Saturday 1st December
Home-Start Hampshire is holding its Santa Run on Saturday 1st December in conjunction with the Alton Yuletide Festival. Time to brush off your Christmas fancy dress, there are races for all, 1km team race, children’s race and Santa stroll followed by the 3km run. Medals for all competitors and prizes for the best fancy dress.
Naomi House’s Santa Fun Run | Winchester | Sunday 2nd December
Naomi House Hospice for Children and Young Adults are holding their annual Santa Fun Run on Sunday 2 nd December. The 5km Winchester route will start at the Guildhall and take you around the city streets, before crossing the finish line. Dressed in a shiny red Santa suit, accompanied by thousands of fellow Santa Clauses and surrounded by a lively, festive crowd, the Santa Fun Run is a fun event. Each runner is asked to aim to raise £50 for the hospice.
Trinity Winchester Collections at Sainsbury’s | Winchester | Wednesday 12th & Tuesday 18th December
Trinity Winchester are holding bucket collections at Sainsbury’s on 12th December and at Tesco on 18 th December. Fill a shoebox with quality items to give out at their Christmas meal on 20th December. To find out more please contact Sharnna Carter: sharnna@trinitywinchester.org.uk
Christmas Day Lunches
Winchester
FirstBite held a Christmas Day lunch at Hyde Parish Hall. They received voluntary help with preparing food on Christmas Eve, serving food on Christmas Day, making decorations, help with transport, food donations, washing up and keeping people merry.
Petersfield
Petersfield Area Churches Together (PACT) will be providing a Christmas Day lunch at Petersfield Community Centre from 12.30. Volunteers for the event please call 07547 314557 or email pactchristmaslunch@gmail.com

During Christmas and New Year, visits are especially popular. Students are keen to experience what they know to be a time of celebration and long held tradition.
