A Time Bank for Leigh Park

21 June 2017

Timebanking UK is working in partnership with local community organisations to plan, design and implement a network of local time banks in the region. This programme is being funded by Hampshire County Council. These time banks will enable local people to give and receive support within their communities, offering a variety of ways in which time bank members can earn and spend time credits, helping to build stronger communities, removing barriers to participation and  improving wellbeing for all.

A time bank is being planned for the Leigh Park area and we are looking for partners and stakeholders to become part of this exciting new project. We are running a free workshop for you to find out more about timebanking and how you can get involved.

An Introduction to Timebanking

The session will cover:

  • What is timebanking and who are Timebanking UK?
  • What timebanking can and cannot do.
  • How does it work and who can benefit?
  • Hampshire and the vision for timebanking
  • How to set up a time bank
  • The role of a working group

Plenty of time will be given for questions.  Light refreshments will be provided.
